According to the dictionary (or dictionary.com) Snarf is a slang term, meaning to eat or drink rapidly or eagerly. The temptation to snarf down food is everywhere at Snarf’s on the Hill. Boulder Weekly has awarded “Best Sandwich” to Snarf’s for the past ten years. This little sandwich shop is practically adjacent to the University of Colorado and is frequented by students on a daily basis, making it an opportune place to find some very cheap eats.

The Italian sandwich with salami, pepperoni, capicola and mortidalla with provolone nestled in between two slices of fresh baguette, warmed to perfection, without even needing to ask, will have anyone snarfing this down in seconds. All of their sandwiches are made with mayo, mustard, hot peppers, onions, lettuce, tomato, fresh crunchy pickles, and seasoning oil allowing each customer to customize their sandwich into a beautifully tasty masterpiece. Their sizes are based on hunger levels, the Novice for $5.25 is five inches, which is great for all those lovely little ladies out there with small appetites. The Snarf is seven inches for $6.50, the perfect middle option if you are not quite ready for the Pro foot-long sandwich for $9.75. Don’t worry vegetarians, there is a Vegetarian sandwich loaded with provolone, sprouts and avocado so you can snarf too!

This is one of many great sandwich shops on the Hill, but there is more to this shop than just sandwiches. Snarf’s on the Hill also offers several salad options that you can top off with one of their homemade dressings. If you have room for dessert, Snarf’s has that too! Whether your preference is malts, shakes, or cookie sandwiches there is something for everyone. These great sandwiches can also be found for snarfing in East Boulder and Downtown Boulder. For a complete listing of Snarf locations as well as menu options, check out their website.
