Jessabelle is the latest film from Lionsgate that has partnered up with Blumhouse Productions. If you are a fan of Insidious and Paranormal Activity along with recently released Oculus then this film is for you. Blumhouse looks to corner the market on the big time supernatural films that are equally smart and beautiful as they are scary. Jessabelle is directed by Kevin Greutert (Saw 3D) who has been involved in some of the more familiar horror releases as of late.

Jessabelle is set to hit theaters this August worldwide through Lionsgate. The film stars Sarah Snook (Sleeping Beauty) as Jessabelle. After returning to her fathers home in Louisiana due to a horrible car accident, Jessabelle starts to have encounters with a malicious spirit that has been anxiously awaiting her return. This time the spirit has no intentions of letting her leave. The first image looks great and give the feel of the classic scene in the bathtub from A Nightmare On Elmstreet. We can’t to see more from Jessabelle and check back this Thursday for the premiere of the trailer.

Jessabelle stars Sarah Snook, Mark Webber, David Andrews, Joelle Carter, Ana de la Reguera, Larisa Oleynik, Chris Ellis, Fran Bennett, Amber Stevens. The story is written by Robert Ben Grant and will be released in theaters nationwide August the 29th!
