Snap Boogie takes his dancing so seriously you might not know he is a high school student on Mount Pleasant High School in Providence, Massachusetts. Taking to the stage of America’s Got Talent on Tuesday night he gave it his all in hopes to stay in the competition. While he was fighting an injury, the student didn't let it stop him nor did he let the big stage scare him. Feeling the energy, Snap Boogie changed up his dance ever so slightly, but only made it better. AGT judge Howie Mandel was amazed that the artist took it from the street and put it in a theater seat and it even had a wonderful edge.
Snap Boogie took to dancing as a form of expression as growing up hasn’t been the best. Street performances brought in money to help pay his mom’s bills and the rough neighborhood made it tough to stay out of trouble. Yet Snap Boogie is living the dream as he found himself in the midst of his dream of dancing when he got all three judges to agree he could move on in the competition.
On stage tonight, Snap Boogie only had to convince America he was worth hanging on to. After his performance, the decision of who stays and who goes is up to those folks watching at home. With 12 acts competing for 4 slots, there will no doubt be sadness on Wednesday’s show, but as Snap Boogie has learned it isn’t so much where he performs but that he keeps moving.
