A snake in Starbucks at a San Antonio location managed to startle a man who went into the bathroom. CNN reports Sept. 5 that Bruce Ahlswede first thought the snake in Starbucks was just a prank toy until it started moving!
He immediately notified an employee and soon the staff and Ahlswede's wife, Michele, gathered to observe the snake. It eventually vanished, the report said. Michele thinks the snake likely slithered through pipes in the building and made its way to the toilet. She took a picture of the snake in Starbucks and posted it on Facebook.
A snake expert said the reptile was probably a rat snake, which is non-poisonous. They look similar to pythons and can reach up to seven-feet in length.
As a result of the shocking find in Starbucks Tuesday, the South Texas Herpetology Association confirmed in a statement that although a snake was discovered in the San Antonio starbucks store, the facility is safe.
Undeterred from the snake incident, the Ahlswedes plan on returning to that exact same Starbucks in the future. Needless to say, they will keep an eye out for the snake again.
Would you let a snake in Starbucks impact your decision to go back?
