A snake eats crocodile and the epic fight was witnessed by several onlookers. Although physically it seems impossible, the dramatic images captured by viewers show the crocodile getting completely swallowed by a snake, a large python. As reported by The Guardian on March 2, the images leave no room for doubt: the snake eats a crocodile in one of the most impressive battles in the animal world.

The battle took place 12 kilometers northeast of Mount Isa in Australia. In the blink of an eye, the snake wrapped around the crocodile and started to choke him to death. Although the crocodile fought with all his strength to escape, in the end the snake was the victor.

Tiffany Corlis was enjoying breakfast at a site close to where the fight took place when she suddenly saw people racing towards the lake. Wisely, Tiffany decided to follow the crowd and she managed to immortalize the spectacular scene with her camera.

“The crocodile was fighting at the start, so it was trying to keep its head out of water and survive,” she told media sources.

“Finally, the croc sort of gave in and the snake had uncoiled for a little while and had a brief break and then actually started to consume the crocodile.”

Corlis describe the scene as truly amazing. “It was just unbelievable,” she said. “We were sort of thinking that the snake had bitten off a little more than it could chew.

“But it did. It actually ate the crocodile.”

The snake is believed to be about 3 meters long, and the crocodile was said to have been about 1.5 meters in length.

Corlis' husband said that both these types of animals are common in the area of Lake Moondarra, but he added that he had never witnessed the two reptiles engage in such a struggle.
