Why would one become a snake charmer? It doesn't pay well, a lethal kiss might be involved, the task is to mimic the movements of a snake and your co-workers are well, snakes.
For those wishing to master the art, here is an article to get you started and to be fair to those who would undertake such an endeavor, there is a great deal of shock value involved. Past that, perhaps, one is enchanted with these legless annoyers, or just the task of hunting down the co-workers. Maybe, like Joe Slowinski, the fascination is a culmination of these factors.
