Whether your team is in the Playoffs or headed to the Superbowl, football parties are always a great excuse for cooking up a storm and inviting friends and family over to celebrate. There are always the tried and true chicken wings to cook up, but there are many other ideas to choose from too.

Why not try your hand at a football cake? It's a lot easier to put together than you would imagine and this quick video walks you through how to do it. Your guests will love it!

Jalapeno Poppers are a great appetizer to add to your party spread.

Jalapeno Poppers

  • 18 jalapenos
  • 8 oz package cream cheese with chives
  • bacon
  • thick cocktail toothpicks

It is recommended that you wear gloves when handling the jalapenos. Slice jalapenos in half and remove seeds. Fill each jalapeno half with cream cheese with chives. Wrap a half a slice of bacon around the entire thing, securing with toothpick. It is best to cook on broiler pan so that bacon grease can drip down to the pan below. Bake in 400 degree oven for around 20-25 minutes, or until bacon is as crispy as you'd prefer.
