SMU senior center Mitch Enright has been selected to ESPN The Magazine’s Academic All-American second team, the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced today. He is SMU's first Academic All-American since Cary Brabham and Jason Wolf were so honored in 1993.

Enright, a native of Southlake, earned his undergraduate degree in Management in three years. He is in his second year at SMU’s prestigious Cox School of Business pursuing his MBA in Marketing and Strategic Leadership.

Enright was previously chosen to be a 2009 Anson Mount Scholar/Athlete as part of the 53rd Annual Playboy Preseason All-America football team. He has earned two Conference-USA Academic Medals and was a semifinalist for the 2009 William V. Campbell Trophy.

Enright, a three-year starter, has twice been on the watch list for the Rimington Trophy, which is annually awarded to the nation's top center.

Enright will play his final game as a Mustang Saturday afternoon at Gerald J. Ford Stadium against Tulane.
