“Smooth Home for the Holidays” featuring renowned contemporary jazz sax artist Marion Meadows and Friends will light up the stage at the world class Westin La Paloma Resort and Spa Ballroom in Tucson for one night only, Saturday, November 28, 2009 starting at 7:30 pm. Meadows and his newest ensemble of top

Marion Meadows, dynamic tenor and soprano saxophonist, composer and smooth jazz recording artist, was born in West Virginia and grew up in Connecticut. He began studying classical music at the age of eight and continued to pursue his passion for music throughout his early years guided by Anthony Truglia and Ron
Herder. While in college, Meadows played with a band called “Aboriginal Music
Society"; then through a chance meeting in Grand Central Station with Jay Chattaway of the TappanZee record label, Meadows was signed on and had the opportunity to record with Bob James which helped to launch his career. In the 1980’s, he collaborated with numerous artists and musicians including Brook Benton, Eartha Kitt, The Temptations, Michael Bolton, Angela Bofill and Native American flute
player Douglas Spotted Eagle. The prolific Meadows has released nine albums to date, the latest being critically acclaimed “Secrets” in 2009.
