Las Vegas was a buzz last night as the iconic Smokey Robinson opened up the newest show on the Las Vegas Strip.
The legendary singer opened up Human Nature The Motown Show at the Venetian Casino and Hotel. Celebrities came out by the dozens to show support for this Las Vegas Show.
Human Nature The Motown Show had a star-studded red carpet event located next to the Sands Showroom where their new show is debuting.
Local Las Vegas celebrities came out to show their support. Tara Palsha from Vegas the Show, Melody Sweets and Michal Furmanczyk from Absinthe, Thunder Down Under, the Ladies of Fantasy the Show, Frankie Moreno, Comedy Hypnotist Marc Savard and so many more were in attendance.
National celebrities were also making an appearance, as a pregnant Holly Madison from Holly’s World, comedian Carrot Top, BMX freestyler and reality television star Ricardo Laguna, 2011 Playmate of the Year Claire Sinclair, Top Chef contestant Chef Carla Pellegrino and even America’s Got Talent sent and envoy of celebrities to pay homage to this fantastic show.
The bystanders who were watching the celebrities became frenzied as the legendary Smokey Robinson began to walk the carpet. The yells of the photographers were drowned out by the clapping and screaming of the onlookers. Smokey acknowledged his fans and the photographers.
Instead of quieting down, the crowd of people actually became louder as Smokey Robinson called the gentleman from Human Nature to accompany him on the red carpet. The area around the red carpet was an assault on the senses. Cameras sent blinding flashes of light everywhere and the screaming and cheering of the fans made it hard to hear.
Everyone quickly followed Human Nature into the showroom. No one wanted to miss the show that everyone has been talking about. Not having a chance to see the show I wasn’t in a hurry to put away my gear.
It was a good thing that I had not put my camera away as more legends of Motown showed up at the last minute. Mary Wilson of the popular female group The Supremes accompanied by some friends including Eddie Holland who all wanted to walk the red carpet. Eddie Holland is known for co-writing with his brother Brian twenty-five number one hits between 1962 and 1967.
I watched Mary and her friends walk into the Sands Showroom just in time, as the ushers began to shut the doors.
Later that evening via most of the social media networks that I am on, Las Vegas was still buzzing about the show. Violinist Lydia Ansel posted on Facebook how fantastic Human Nature looked and sounded. Public relations specialist Jennifer Bradley also posted on Facebook “The set was incredible!!!! The show was so entertaining.” Former Channel 8 reporter Dayna Roselli posted “Great Time.”
The red carpet was so entertaining I can’t wait to take my family to see Smokey Robinson presents Human Nature the Motown show.
