Smokey Robinson packs the house

Spanning the globe and listening to the many talents in the music world, it would be hard to match the accomplishments of Smokey Robinson. Smokey's career spans over four decades. He has been involved in many facets of the music industry. While still in high school, Smokey Robinson founded The Miracles. This group went on to become one of America's greatest R&B groups and made Motown Records a wanted name for all recording artists.

Smokey Robinson has received numerous awards including the Grammy Living Legend Award, NARAS Lifetime Achievement Award, Honorary Doctorate (Howard University), Kennedy Center Honors and the National Medal of Arts Award from the President of the United States. He has also been inducted into the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters’ Hall of Fame.

Smokey Robinson brought his talents to the enjoyable venue of the Hudson Gardens and Event Center. The intimate outdoor venue was a great setting for Smokey Robinson to entertain the sold out audience. As Mr. Robinson entered the stage, the many wonderful fans stood and greeted him with a standing ovation. Smokey opened the evening by performing "Being With You". This was followed by "Second That Emotion". Smokey Robinson provided the great soulful voice that we all know and love. As the crowd was now enjoying his many talents, the third song was a familiar favorite "Really Got A Hold".

The rest of the night was a Miracle. And Smokey Robinson had brought the voice, the music and the talent to a wonderful venue proving once again that the Hudson Gardens and Event Center is a one of a kind to enjoy music.
