Smiling cocker spaniel mix desperately needs Christmas miracle

See also

The stars sparkle, the Christmas trees are lit, the packages have been opened, and there is much joy in the world; that is except for the thousands and thousands of homeless pets who languish in city shelters hoping against diminishing odds for a new home.

And here waits Gavin who is still smiling, but his time grows shorter as his stay at the San Bernardino City Shelter in California is overcrowded, and therefore has only limited facilities for the abandoned, surrendered, and those beautiful souls down on their luck by no fault of their own.

This male, black and brown terrier, cocker spaniel mix is estimated to be only one-and-a-half-years old; life has scarcely started for A458485.

He is described as extremely friendly, and when one volunteer walked by, this clever little guy reached his paw out beneath his chain linked prison to capture a moment's attention.
