SMH: Mayweather supporters' hypocrisy-filled tirades against Pacquiao and Arum

dSource is on Twitter @dRealSource and Facebook

Here we go again. Floyd Mayweather's infatuated blog media groupies have sprung back to life and found angles they can manipulate to divert blame toward Manny Pacquiao and his camp claiming they are avoiding their guy.

Guess what? It's the usual suspects too.

For the record I lay blame on all sides, including the very fans that complain about the fight not happening, yet purchase Mayweather and Pacquiao's fight againsts other opponents. You are all enablers.

All I got to say is, some sites definitely put the "hype" in the word "HYPocritE".

Here's why:

Okay. They blast Bob Arum for being greedy, yet they support the guy who calls himself "Money"; the same guy that constantly raises his money demands to fight Pacquiao. "$100 million," he said, but not a peep from his pom-pom boys, yet Arum is a greedy pig. Not saying Arum isn't, but let's get real here. Don't be a hypocrite.

It's not okay for Pacquiao to try and fight the undefeated Timothy Bradley or Lamont Peterson, but it's okay for Mayweather to fight Robert Guerrero or Saul Alvarez. Really?! It's the exact same thing. It's called "in-house promotions", yet the Mayweather bloggers are critical when Top Rank does it, but when Mayweather fought Ortiz, Mosley and Marquez, it was the exact same concept.

  • LATEST: Arum says MGM too small, May 5 too soon for Pacquiao-Mayweather clash
  • If you're saying Arum and Pacquiao are avoiding Mayweather, Mayweather has done the same plus more.

Didn't Mayweather say he was ging on "vacation" after beating Shane Mosley two years ago?

Didn't Mayweather complicate negotiations with his unsubstantiated PED accusations that landed his a defamation lawsuit?

Didn't Mayweather ask for $100 million? Didn't his advisor Ellerbe say they will already announce their next opponent in a week?

Yet when Pacquiao says he is willing to let Mayweather have the bigger slice of the pie, these clowns say Pacquiao is broke.

Today there was a report that quoted Pacquiao saying he wants Mayweather, and that he will request Arum to make the fight happen. And with a snap of a finger, Mayweather's groupie writers have something negative to say about it, while Mayweather himself is scheduling fights against lesser opponents.

But when Mayweather contradicts himself after calling out Pacquiao, his pom-pom girls suddenly become silent. Sometimes I wonder what these writers' real motives are. Do they really want to see the fight? Or do they simply want to keep Mayweather's balls warm?

Give me a break. Just call it how it is! These hypocrites are worse than Arum, Pacquiao, Mayweather and Schaeffer combined - and they don't even make money. It's pathetic! They only make the fight more difficult to make by reinforcing Mayweather's arrogance which has been one of the biggest reasons why this fight is so difficult to make.

Pacquiao insisting he wants to fight Mayweather is the right move, and saying he is willing to take less money than Mayweather should be taken in good faith.

What do you really want the guy to say?

Mayweather's cronies are keeping this fight in the media when fact is, people just need to take a stand and send the promoters and the fighters a message. Don't buy their fights and force both of them to fight each other. That's really the only way fans can take the power back and dictate what happens.

Perhaps Mayweather and his cronies think Pacquiao and Arum need to crawl and beg them to negotiate a fight with Pacquiao. Why? If Mayweather truly wants Pacquiao, he's going to push for it. The way I see it, Mayweather's talked so much, but has done nothing to really signify he wants to fight Pacquiao, while Pacquiao has been scarce, yet definitive.

Unless Pacquiao and Mayweather truly man up and cut the games, this fight won't happen in May. I commend Pacquiao for taking a stand. I hope he sticks to it and forces Arum's hand. Mayweather needs to do the same.

Chances are, both Pacquiao and Mayweather will announce different opponents in a week or so. Pacquiao will probably fight Bradley and Mayweather will go for Guerrero. And yes, I believe both opponents were picked for them by their promoters and both fighters will just have to sign-on to fight them.

They are both going to make money and probably win. Mayweather will go to jail after (unless his legal team pulls another rabbit out of their hats), and Pacquiao will go back to the Philippines and continue his congressional work.

BUT IF ALL OF YOU EXERCISE YOUR FREEDOM OF CHOICE AND NOT PURCHASE BOTH FIGHTS, then MAYBE, we might finally see this fight happen.

Supply and demand. It's that simple.

You keep buying their crap, they'll keep selling them to you, regardless of how hard you cry.
