Smashed is an award-winning story of man and wife Kate (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) and Charlie (Aaron Paul) Hannah. There's a problem and it's that alcohol and the love therein is what binds them.
Will their relationship last if alcohol is removed from the equation? Can someone, please, stop Kate from performing karaoke? Please.
While Smashed is listed as a comedy and a drama, we don't recall a single scene that we considered funny, unless smoking crack or nearly bustin' your noggin' open while riding a bicycle counts?
Charlie: Can I just take you out on a date?
Charlie: I don't ever do anything responsible. Really?
Charlie: It's not that big of a deal.
Charlie: Of course, I care about you!
Kate: I don't feel normal.
Kate: I need help.
Kate: I'm an alcoholic.
Kate: I've never done crack...
Kate: There are people who used to be in my life, who I miss a lot.
Principal Barnes: But, you vomited in class.
Principal Barnes: Do you know what you've done?
Principal Barnes: This is sickening. I'm extremely disappointed in you.
