"Smash" is currently airing on Channel 12 in Tempe. On Friday, March 1, Spoiler TV shared the first photos released for "Smash" episode 2.06 titled "The Fringe." On the episode teased in these new photos, Karen and Derek will come to a crossroads when it comes things. She will have to make a choice. Eileen and Jerry will have their own issues, and the first performance of Jimmy's musical at the Fringe Festival will have issues of its own. As for Ivy, she will make a big move to save her show as well.
There is more news on the Ivy front as well. Her mother will be seen again on the series, and TV Guide shared new spoilers about the upcoming appearance of Bernadette Peters. The site revealed the following:
"When Peters returns as Ivy's domineering mama later this season, they'll 'get to see her sing a lot more,' Megan Hilty says. And when she's not singing show tunes, she will be trying to mend fences with Ivy. 'You'll see the two of them try and work things out,' Hilty says. 'They're two very strong women and so it isn't easy, but they're trying.' Judging from Peters' last appearance on the show, we're going to say that 'trying' is the operative word."
