"Smash" is back on Channel 12 in Tempe. On Wednesday, Feb. 20, Screen Spy shared the photos released for "Smash" episode 2.04 titled "The Song." Spoiler TV also shared an extended sneak peek for the episode. Check out the new photos by visiting the slide show. On the episode teased in these new photos, fans will see increased tensions on all fronts. Karen will try to help Jimmy out with a huge opportunity, but he might mess it up. Derek will be under pressure with his event, and Eileen will be at a crossroads that might impact the future of 'Bombshell.' Sheryl Lee Ralph is set to guest star on the episode as Ronnie's mother.
TV Line also shared new spoilers for the upcoming episode on Tuesday. The site revealed the following:
"In next week’s episode, the blonde bombshell finds herself participating in three out of the following four activities: 1) Grinding up on Jennifer Hudson’s sweet starlet Veronica Moore; 2) Harmonizing with sworn enemy Karen; 3) Booking a gig that’ll be (as that network tagline goes) “only on Bravo!”; and 4) Removing one of Ellis’ teeth with pliers. Oh, and for a little bonus scoop, would you be surprised to find out that Ms. Cartwright might have a hidden knack for songwriting?"
Fans can cross one of them off the list. The sneak peek shows Karen and Ivy on stage and singing back up for Ronnie during her big performance. The whole performance is shown in the new clip. Jimmy and Kyle are also in attendance.
Fans are buzzing about this series on social media. One fan said the following on Twitter recently:
Whoever decided that McPhee doing a duet with Hudson was a good idea for McPhee needs their head examined. #smash
