Young was no stranger to playing superheroes. On his Disney channel series "The Famous Jett Jackson" he played a young actor and his heroic spy alter ego. But most superhero fans will most likely remember him for his several appearance on "Smallville" as Victor Stone, the Teen Titan known as Cyborg.
As Victor Stone, he first appeared in season five as one of the first super-powered heroes Clark ever meets. He would return in season six in the episode "Justice" as he teamed with Clark and the "Smallville" versions of Green Arrow, Aquaman and Flash as a makeshift Justice League. Some fans point to this decision by the "Smallville" creative team as one of the reasons Cyborg became a full-fledged member of the Justice League in the New 52 reboot. He would return one last time in the Season Nine finale to assist Clark against Zod.
Since his appearances on "Smallville", Young has went on to other work. After a recurring role on "FlashForward" he has been a regular cast member of cable hit "Rizzoli & Isles". He seemed far from the despairs of many other ex-Disney Channel stars. Few seem to understand the motivations of his actions at this time.
Police are investigating the case at this time. Expect more news on this story in the days ahead.
