Local residents, Karen Warren and Gary Cox of Lovettsville, Virginia set up a fancy and energetic Barbecue business in the shed in their own backyard. The smell of the grill is absolutely hypnotic.

Calling themselves, GK”s BBQ, they are located at 19 East Broadway in downtown Lovettsville, telephone orders nay be placed at (703) 554-4833.

Gary Cox has been a professional caterer and worked in the food business for over twenty years before establishing himself in an authentic, home town environment. “This will be a year round business” stated Karen Warren.

They have been open not even one week, but last Saturday they sold out their entire stock of Barbequed foods to an enthusiastic and supportive town that takes its small business community very seriously no matter the economic climate.

Seven customers came and went in the span of ten minutes. Three local firefighters, stopped in for their lunch and even though they had not tasted the food prior to today, they raved about the smell of the cooking items.

The menu offers a variety of good old fashioned Southern mesquite grill. Very similar to the small barbeques one would find winding their way through the back hills of Tennessee and North Carolina. Very reminiscent of older, friendlier days and the spark of community spirit in a family oriented town.
