Update 7/6/14: Starbuck has been adopted.

On June 15, "Starbuck," a Dachshund and Chihuahua mix, arrived as a stray to the Los Angeles County Animal Care and Control facility in Baldwin Park, Calif.

Starbuck was picked up with his buddy, "Winter," a striking, white Siberian husky. The pair were not able to provide one another with comfort for long...Winter quickly was adopted from the facility and his little friend was left behind...waiting for his own miracle to happen.

Today, Starbuck is still waiting to be noticed...the two-year-old dog does not have the same stand-out physical appearance that likely prompted someone to grab Winter and free him from the busy shelter. Instead, he is just another wonderful little soul, wrapped up in a soft-brown package.

Please take a moment to network this young dog's information - he deserves the opportunity to live out the rest of his life in the company of a loving guardian. The time devoted towards increasing his visibility may be the difference between his life, and his death.
