Small business workshop to be offered by Assemblywoman Quirk-Silva

Assemblywoman Sharon Quirk-Silva will host a small business workshop March 14 for those interested in starting a business or those who already have one.

Quirk-Silva will host "Coffee with Go-Biz Small Business Workshop" March 14 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Fullerton Arboretum in the outdoor patio at the museum. Go-Biz, which is the Governor's Office of Business and Economic Development, will take part in the workshop. Topics that will be discussed include qualifying for new tax credits, how to manage and grow your business, how to increase access to capital and procure government contracts.

Go-Biz was created by Governor Edmund G. Brown, Jr., to assist business owners and foster job creation. According to its Web site, Go-Biz's helps businesses streamline permit processes and clears regulatory hurdles, among other tasks.
