On Feb. 5 2013, fans of the Sly Cooper series on the PlayStation 2 will be treated to the next entry of the series. Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time (Sly 4) will be coming to the PlayStation 3/Vita with cross buy on the PS3 version and will present everyone's favorite raccoon thief in true HD glory. The great news is that you can do this at a reduced cost of $39.99 right on release day. The stand-alone PS Vita version will be $29.99. This was announced just yesterday via the official PlayStation Blog.
When a price cut comes early on, like what happened with Anarchy Reigns ($29.99 upon release), one has to wonder if the drop in price is because they don't feel the game is as good or has a lack of content and therefore isn't worth the retail sixty bucks. Cristian Cardona (SCEA Associate Product Marketing Manger) would tell PlayStation Life Style the following information when asked if he had low confidence in the sales of Sly 4:
