UTSA's Volleyball winning streak has ended as they were swept by Middle Tennessee on Sunday Afternoon in Murfreesobo.
It was an impressive result for the Blue Raiders who now lift to 3-2 in CUSA play, handing UTSA their first loss of conference play.
UTSA struggled throughout the match, with only McKenzie Adams making it in to double digit kills with 16 of them as she managed a .297 hitting percentage.
The first set was tight with the teams level pegging all the way up to 18 before Middle Tennessee managed a 7-4 run to take control and win the set on the back of two Chelsea Ross kills.
Indeed, it was Ross who was the key for Middle Tennessee with her kills a vital part of their victory as she managed 14.
The second set saw Middle Tennessee rush out to a 6-2 lead that UTSA were never able to haul in despite their best efforts they fell 25-22 in the second.
Needing a win in the third to stay alive UTSA got off to a horrible start as they fell behind 8-2 in the opening stages of the third set which saw Middle Tennessee easily push out for a 25-16 win.
The loss is the Roadrunners first ever CUSA loss but they will return home and get a chance to bounce back next week.
