Do you like slow cooked food? Slow cooking is all the rage right now and everyone has a crockpot it seems like. And why not. you put your food in the oven in the morning leave it and go to work. When you come home your meat is falling off the bone tender. This recipe requires a bit more supervision but if you are a work at home sort or have some housework to do one day, this recipe will do the trick. All you have to do is baste it on occasion as the cooking goes on.

  • One large pork or beef roast
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Red Pepper
  • Cayenne
  • Thyme
  • Basil
  • Chinese Five Spice
  • Garlic (About 5 heads), diced
  • Onion
  • Red Pepper
  • jalapeños, diced
  • soy sauce
  • Jamaican jerk seasoning

Take your roast and liberally coat with all the seasonings. Place in a roasting pan. Baste occasionally. I checked mine avery 45 minutes to hour. You'll know its ready when the meat is falling off the bone and into the delicious gravy at the bottom of the pan. Mangia and Enjoy!
