Slopestyle competition flips into SolVista Basin

SolVista Basin is one of Colorado's smaller resorts, but also one of the most family-friendly as well. Located in Granby, Colorado, they have runs from green to black, several terrain parks from small to large, and do night skiing and tubing on Saturday nights.  This past Saturday afternoon, the Divide Board Shop hosted the third annual slopestyle competition for 14 and up competitors in the Rough Stock terrain park.

Each rider was given three runs through the park, with their best run counting toward their score. Kevin Lamers from Winter Park finished first with a solid run, which included a big backflip.

"[The SolVista] parks are always sick, every comp I come here, it's just like super fun," said Kevin, "On my last run, I just kind of capped it off, it was just nice and smooth - big backflip at the end.  Just happy I won it, it was a good time, glad to come out.  Thanks again to SolVista and Divide Board Shop."

Christian Luque finished second, and Bobby Monday finished third.
