Slim down your makeup bag for traveling (Photos)

Do you want to know what’s in my makeup bag? Let’s take a peek then. I have four pencil eyeliners (black, green, grey and purple), one liquid eyeliner in black, three non tinted lip glosses (one in winter mint, one in marshmallow and one in cotton candy), five tinted lip glosses (one in oxblood, one red, one gold, one clear, one hot pink, one beige/nude) and one sheer pink), at least a dozen lipsticks ranging from nude to brown and every color in between, three mascaras from volumizing to lengthening and blush. An overload don’t you think? Can you imagine if I was going on vacation? What a load I would be carrying! Luckily, you don’t have to be like me and there is a way to dwindle down your makeup load if you’re going on vacation. Here’s a surefire way to have enough makeup to last you your whole vacation without having to pay an extra luggage fee for your makeup.

All in one makeup palettes: Readymade all in one palettes are great to take with you if you can’t decide what colors you want to take with you. Try the Makeup Clutch Palette from e.l.f. This palette comes with eyeshadows, lipsticks, bronzer, blush and face shimmer.

Make your own palettes: If you have small pans that you prefer to carry with you, building your own palette would be a great way to keep them all organized. Try the UNII palette. All you do is pop in your pans, shuffle them around how you like them and that’s it you have all your pans in one place that won’t shift or spill out.

Decant all your liquids into smaller bottles and leave the big ones at home. Reuse eye drop bottles by filling them up with concealer and liquid foundation or bb cream. Use contact cases for crème blushes. Consider purchasing min sifter jars for your mineral makeup.

Leave all the big brushes at home. Purchase instead a small min kit of brushes that you can easily fit inside a small bag. This way if you lose one it won’t be as big a loss as if you were to lose one of your more expensive brushes. Don’t forget to pick up a mini kabuki brush also like the Balm mini kabuki brush.
