The Tea Party organized protests against what they called excessive taxation. AP Photo
The Tea Party is largely fueled off anger against big government and "excessive" taxation. So with today being Tax Day, the Tea Party was out in force as expected. As the photos below show, Tea Party members dressed up in the most patriotic attire and brought out their homemade signs to protest government taxation. Some of the Tea Party rallies were organized by corporate funded organizations like Americans For Prosperity. Other protests were inspired by local Tea Party organizations or conservative leaders.
Today at a Miami rally President Obama made a joke about the protests. Noting that most Americans actually saw their taxes decrease under his policies, the President asked whether the rallies were taking place to thank him for the tax cuts.

i commend the people of slides 1 and 16...they're the only ones with a brain in the whole dang set of slides.
I like the pic from Kansas City. It seems the tea party drew a bigger crowd than the Royals. Maybe they should have an Obama voodoo doll give away day.
Did you see all that violent hate and radical racists all over the country?
What a bunch of losers!
So these are the people that buy the over priced gold from Glenn Beck and the survival seeds from Sean Hannity. I could not for the life of me picture which of my fellow Americans would do that. Now I know.
what a bunch of idiots!!!!
Lori,
You're right. What kind of idiots would demand that their government be responsible with their hard earned money?
I agree 12.5% with Ray. But they are all inspiring pictures. Without the unlimited AND FORCED tax faucet this government's power could be put in check !!!!!
I like the gals' strawhat with the Tea Bags and American Flag! I wouldn't have worked with marshmallows.
Got something to say?
