President Obama and the Democratic leadership is making their last push to get the votes needed to pass health care reform.  The plan is for the House to pass the Senate bill along with the "fix" to the bill in one vote through a self-executing rule.  Then the Senate would pass the bill through a process called reconciliation which would require only a simple majority.  By all reports the Democrats currently do not have the 216 votes needed in the House but most analysts believe they will reach the magic number by the end of the week.

Meanwhile Republicans are not taking this all sitting down.  The most vocal opponent to the reform effort has probably been U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN).  Bachmann can be seen above taking part in a Tea Party protest outside the Capitol.  Bachmann has gone as urge citizens to disobey the law even it does pass through the House of Representatives

Below you can see scenes from the health care debate as both sides make every effort to pass or defeat the health care reform bill.

correction: Backmann is not commited after all...she escaped the straitjacket when our backs were turned...we hope to have her commited by the end of the day.

    Hey Chumley (aka walrus),
That's future president Bachmann to you. I know that you prefer Pelosi but all the botox in the world can't make up for the inordinate amount of booze she guzzles (reference the $55,000 alcohol bill she saddled taxpayers with). Now go back to your zoo cage with Tennessee Tuxedo (where you can make Mr. Whoopee) and leave the important issues to us humans.
