There are some historical names out there that made their fellow man think of them as vampires like take Vlad Tepes for instance, he was said to drink the blood of his enemies and then there is Elizabeth Bathory who would bathe in the blood of virgins, so she would never age. It's gruesome but it's true. Back to Vlad, Bram Stoker basically based his vampire, Dracula on the leader.
The only thing that these leaders couldn't do that a so called vampire can do was live forever well they do live forever in our thoughts, movies, books, and other merchandise. You really can't go long into searching on vampire lore and not hearing Vlad the Impaler or Bathory. They go hand in hand in the legend because of how cruel they were in history. Bathory was said to have killed over 600 virgins and she was also said to love to torture the young girls. She was a very evil woman that would have made a good wife for Vlad. When you look at the slideshow you'll see other evil people or just people who were thought to be vampires.
So anyway that's just a little bit about two from our list to see the others take a peek at the slideshow and learn or relearn about these so called historical vampires.
