Slideshow: Katy Perry's red white and blue style at Kids Inaugural Ball sparkled (Video)

Katy Perry is never dull. At the Kid's Inaugural Ball in Washington D.C. the pop star kicked off a star studded event with an amazing costume. According to DailyMail on January 20, 2013 Perry sparkled in red, white and blue from head to toe.

A vocal supporter of President Obama, Perry was more than pleased to perform at the concert organized by Michelle Obama. She performed a number of songs and gave the kids what they wanted with Teenage Dream, Part of Me, Wide Awake and Firework.

With her red, white and blue jewel encrusted microphone in hand she sprinted across both stages, shouting out four more years of the Obama administration.

According to MTV, Katy Perry's final song Firework nearly lifted the roof off the Washington Convention Center.

Not only did the parents in the crowd get an amazing show full of patriotic pride and pageantry but future voters of America learned a little about how exciting a presidential inauguration is.
