Slideshow: 10 photos of classic actor, Montgomery Clift (Photos)

I've always thought that Montgomery Clift was always left behind in the spotlight even though he did some great movies. He had fit well in the world of rebels like James Dean and Marlon Brando. While those two are pop culture icons, Clift just didn't seem like he got the attention. I know that he does have a following but one can say that it's not like Dean. Though Clift, he was nominated for four Academy Awards during his acting career. Some of the more famous movies he was in were, "I Confess," "From Here to Eternity," "The Young Lions" which Brando starred with him in that movie, "Judgement at Nuremberg," and "The Misfits."

Clift died in 1966 at age of 44 and his last film was, "The Defector." Before his passing, in 1956, he was in a severe car accident which many have stated that he never really recovered emotionally or physically from it.

Montgomery Clift, to many of us fans will be remembered for his roles. So enjoy the slideshow and if you haven't seen many of his movies, please do. Clift gave a lot of emotion to his roles and it's always a pleasure to see him work.
