Rain and cooler weather may have contributed to the traffic accident at the light just West of Wal-Mart on Highway 370 in Gretna. One car rear-ended another car upon coming to the light during inclement weather. It was overcast and a light rain that may have been a contributing factor. Police cars blocked the left lane of Highway 370 Eastbound as travelers approached the Interstate 80 interchange causing a backup at the light. The unusual delay of waiting for the light four or five times is atypical for the area except for early on weekdays for traffic heading off to work. The left lane was left open allowing for some to travel the frontage road to go East at the 144th Street Exit if they chose. Both cars were removed by tow truck after being disabled from the accident.
