The season finale of "Sleepy Hollow" was intense and it left every major character in peril. The first season grabbed hold of viewers and it is hopeful that the next season will do the same. So what can viewers expect when season 2 airs? On Jan. 23, E!Online revealed some spoilers on what will happen when the show returns.

Warning: If you do not want to know "Sleepy Hollow" season 2 spoilers, then stop reading.

Ichabod found out about his son and the news was not good. He ended up being buried alive in a coffin and when the show returns, he will be fighting to survive and escape. Unlike his son, Jeremy, he is not immortal and only has a short time that can live without air.

Katrina was freed from purgatory, but Abbie ended up taking her place and she will have to face off against Moloch. Abbie could be there just a short time or for centuries. Katrina stayed there for over 200 years. However, there will be unlikely people that will help her.

Jenny found out who Henry really was and she was on her way to warn her sister when Headless shot at her. The car ended up flipping over and she was unconscious. The good news is that she will survive the car accident, but it's not going to be easy to get out of the wreckage. Hopefully she will be able to get out in time to help the other characters.

On the season finale, Irving ended up behind bars when he confessed to murdering Father Boland and Devon Jones to protect his daughter. On season 2 of "Sleepy Hollow" fans will be relieved when he isn't locked up for good, at least that is what it sounds like. Executive producer and writer Mark Goffman said,

"He and his friends, his powerful friends, are going to have to figure out how to get him out of that mess."

He added,

"He's got a couple of clues that are going to help him come back."

What do you think will happen on "Sleepy Hollow" season 2?
