Are you ready for more "Sleepy Hollow?" Hopefully the answer is yes because on Thursday, Oct. 3, FOX announced that the new series has been renewed for a second season.
Yes, "Sleepy Hollow" is the first new fall show to get renewed, and given how well the series has done just in these first three weeks, it's no surprise. In fact, 22 million viewers have watched the premiere episode alone across multiple platforms, and with 13.6 million (with a 5.0/13 rating among adults 18-49) tuning in after the three additional days of time-shifted viewing, it has become FOX's most successful fall drama premiere since "24." And people are continuing to tune in every week to see Tom Mison and Nicole Beharie as Ichabod Crane and Lieutenant Abbie Mills, respectively.
"The show has proven to be a risk well worth taking – it’s a conceptual blast unlike anything else on television and it all holds together with inventive writing and a fantastic cast," Kevin Reilly, Chairman of Entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Company, has said in a statement. "I can’t wait for fans to experience what else is in store for this fall and even more of this wild ride into Season Two."
