Orlando Jones and Katia Winter have signed on as cast members for “Sleepy Hollow,” a new Fox upcoming series.
In the series, “Sleepy Hollow,” Ichabod Crane travels from the past to present day Sleepy Hollow in a time travel addition to the tale. The role of Ichabod Crane has not been cast as of yet.
Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci (Transformers, Star Trek) penned the time travel element into the show for a new perspective on the story.
Orlando Jones takes on the role of Lieutenant Frank Williams, a police officer of present-day. Winter will portray Crane’s wife in the 18th century.
Brad Anderson will direct the pilot episode of “Sleepy Hollow.” The show will be based on the classic Washington Irving short story, written in 1820, “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.”
“The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” adaptations go back as far as 1922. Tim Burton’s “Sleepy Hollow” was released in 1999 and an ABC Family film titled, “The Hollow” brought the story into the present day.
