Sleek stay at the Liaison Capitol Hill Washington DC

Funky, hip and ideally placed, the Liaison is in the heart of monumental bliss and captivates with personal touches and extensive services.  Located a block from the Capitol building and just a couple blocks from Union Station, you'll be a stone's throw from a variety of sights and pleasures.

There's a smooth vibe when you step into the lobby and take in bold colors, textures and renderings of famous political figures that line the walls.  This chic environment is not haughty though, in fact the staff are friendly, inviting and ready with recommendations to make your stay exceptional.

Dine at the sensational in-house restaurant, Art and Soul, operated by Oprah Winfrey’s famous Chef and James Beard Award recipient Art Smith, who seeks to inspire you with his “food for the soul.” Float with the sounds of jazz that filter through the lobby and into the sleek ArtBar or slip out onto the colorful patio and dine alfresco.  Relax by the rooftop pool lined with cushioned lounge chairs, a fresh fare grill and lovely moonlit view.  Slumber in triple-sheeted lush bedding accompanied by your personal choice of six different pillows, ipod docking stations, even guitars or golf clubs through the My Affinia program-designed to cater to your specific whims.  In addition, you can request one of three complementary “Experience Kits,” to help you find your groove during your stay:  Choose from “The Walking Tour kit” complete with a fully loaded ipod, city guidebook and streetwise city map, or A “StayFit kit” fully loaded with a yoga mat, DVD, wrist and ankle weights, or a "BYOB kit," my personal favorite, that includes a wine key, a Little Black Book of Wine, a picnic blanket and a coupon for a local wine boutique.

Since the location of the Liaison makes it an ideal location for business travelers during the week, weekends are far less busy and far less expensive.
