On Sept. 3 the American thrash metal band Slayer announced headlining tour dates on their official website for the fall of 2013. The North American tour begins Oct. 22 in Anchorage, Alaska, and ends Nov. 30 in Lowell, Mass. You can view a complete list of tour dates below.
During Slayer's fall of 2013 headlining tour the band will perform 17 concerts in the U.S. over a five week time span. Opening up all concerts will be Gojira, and 4ARM. According to the band's website their concert in Anchorage, Alaska marks the first time the band has played there since Oct. 23, 1996.
The band's most recent studio album, "World Painted Blood" was released in 2010. The band also wrote about recording a new album. They said, "While still recovering from the devastating loss of Hanneman, Araya and King have begun to work on new material and hope to spend some time in the studio prior to this tour."
