‘Skyrim’ PS3 update 1.8 dated, DLC coming soon

On Friday, Bethesda revealed that “The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim” for PlayStation 3 will receive the “Skyrim” 1.8 patch on Monday, Feb. 10.

This is an important patch as it will allow and bring forth all of “Skyrim’s” downloadable content for PlayStation 3 users over the course of the next several weeks.

After waiting for what felt like an eternity, PS3 owners will finally be able to download “The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim” downloadable content starting on Tuesday, Feb. 12, when the “Dragonborn” downloadable expansion sees release.

“Hearthfire” will follow with a release on Feb. 19, meanwhile “Dawnguard” will release last on Feb. 26.

To make amends for the long wait, Bethesda will offer each downloadable expansion at a discount of 50% off during its week of release. This means that “Skyrim: Dragonborn” will be available for $10 next week – it will return to normal pricing of $20 the following week.

So, if you want to experience “Dragonborn” on PS3 for cheap, you best download the expansion next Tuesday.
