'Skyrim: Dragonborn' lands on the Playstation 3 (Photos)

After much waiting, the Playstation 3 version of "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" finally received its first add-on Tuesday. "Dragonborn" is now available to purchase and download from the Playstation Store.

"Dragonborn" normally costs $19.99 but Bethesda Softworks will have the downloadable content on sale for $9.99 through the first week it is on sale on the Playstation Store. The half off discount is the developer's form of apology for lack of DLC on the PS3 due to performance issues while the Xbox 360 has been enjoying the add-on since last June.

Players can expect more than 30 hours of additional playtime with Skyrim thanks to the Dragonborn expansion along with the ability to ride dragons and new armor such as the Bomemold, Chitin, Nordic and Stalhrim armors. There will be plenty of new enemies to encounter as well beyond your fellow Dragonborn as Seekers, Ash Spawn and Werebears all wait for your encounter.

The 1.8 title update for "Skyrim was released on Monday. Players can expect to see "Hearthfire" hit the Playstation Store next Tuesday at half off its regular $4.99 price.
