Today is a big day for “Skyrim” fans on the PS3 platform. It has been obvious that Bethesda has went through a number of issues with the PS3 version of this title, as all of the downloadable content that has been released on other platforms for “Skyrim” has been delayed on the PS3. But, today “Skyrim” on the PS3 has finally caught up to the Xbox 360 and PC versions of this title in terms of downloadable content.

Released today as part of the PlayStation store update for this week, the Dawnguard expansion pack for “Skyrim” on the PS3 is now available for purchase. As previously promised by Bethesda, this content will be granted a 50% discount for the first full week that it is available. At the initial price of $19.99, fans will have the opportunity to snag this content for $9.99 for the next week.

Promising fans a total of 20 additional hours of gameplay, Dawnguard will take players on an epic journey based off a conflict between the vampires and the Dawnguard, who are vampire hunters.
