‘Skyrim’ 1.8 patch PS3 release date revealed by Bethesda Softworks (Photos)

Pete Hines has revealed the official release date in regards to the 1.8 patch for the Playstation 3 version of the multiplatform title, “The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.” According to a message from his Twitter page on Feb. 8, the vice president of Bethesda Softworks disclosed that the new update will be made available through the Playstation Network on Feb. 11. The 1.8 patch is needed for the upcoming releases of the Dawnguard, Dragonborn and Hearthfire downloadable content expansions.

“The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim” was released by Bethesda Softworks for the Playstation 3 console on Nov. 11, 2011 in North America. The open-world role-playing game, which was developed by Bethesda Game Studio, also came out for the PC and Xbox 360 platforms on the same date.
