Good luck continues to surround James Bond and his latest adventure. Skyfall, the 23rd film in the 50 year franchise, recently knocked on history’s door and gladly joined the ranks of films such as ‘The Dark Knight’, ‘The Avengers’, and only small list of other films to reach the $1 Billion mark worldwide in the box office.
The upcoming 85th Academy Awards will certainly contain plenty of 007 action! Not only will the ceremony contain a tribute to the long fifty years of James Bond on screen, but quite a few nominations for Skyfall have brought James Bond in the running for a few awards!
Skyfall has been nominated for the following categories:
Achievement in Cinematography
Achievement in Music Written for Motion Pictures (Original score)
Achievement in Music Written for Motion Pictures (Original song)
Achievement in Sound Editing
Achievement in Sound Mixing
Skyfall has been nominated for five Oscars! The best opportunities the film has to take home a golden statuette will be for Original Song; who knew having Adele belt a deliciously wonderful song could get you nominated?
Too bad Skyfall didn’t get nominated for Best Picture, although to be honest it had tough competition and yes we know it was one of the top films of 2012. Click here to see how it ranks!
