Skulls of the Shogun, a new turn-based strategy game from indie developer 17-BIT, is now available to download on Xbox LIVE Arcade for 1,200 Microsoft Points. The game is also available for Windows 8 PC, Microsoft Surface, and Windows Phone for a limited time at a discounted price. The Windows 8 and Windows Surface versions are currently $9.99 (normally $14.99) in the Microsoft Store, and the Windows Phone version is currently $4.99 (normally $6.99) in the Windows Phone Marketplace.

Skulls of the Shogun features a cross-platform asynchronous multiplayer mode called "Skulls Anywhere" that allows gamers to play against friends regardless of what platform they have the game for. Players take turns independently so the game progresses at your own pace.

“After three and a half years, Skulls of the Shogun has been released into the wild!” said 17-BIT Founder and CEO, Jake Kazdal. “We’re ecstatic we could bring Skulls to all four of Microsoft’s platforms, and bring them all together with cross-platform functionality. We appreciate the excitement and patience by all the Skulls of the Shogun fans, and we here at 17-BIT believe the wait will be well worth it.”
