On Jan. 2 Skrillex released a music video for his song "Summit" featuring Ellie Goulding on his official YouTube channel. The video runs just over six minutes long and it was directed by Pilerats. Despite the song featuring vocals from Skrillex's ex-girlfriend Goulding, she does not appear in this unofficial video, which you can watch here.
The video begins with a montage of a girl doing the same thing in different environments, such as putting on lipstick and blowing smoke. The rest of the video features live performance footage, behind the scene tour footage, and shots of a group of friends hanging out in various places.
The song "Summit" is featured on Skrillex's "Bangarang" EP which was released on Dec. 23, 2011. The EP is nominated for a 2013 Grammy Award in the Best Dance/Electronica Album category. The title track for the EP is nominated for a Grammy in the Best Dance Recording category and his remix of "Promises" is nominated in the Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical category.
