No, Skrillex "hair on fire" isn't the latest song by the well-known DJ. Instead it refers to the recent incident that occurred thanks to a birthday cake almost making the musician into the Human Torch.
According to Jam! Showbiz on Jan. 17, the Grammy-winning DJ was celebrating his 25th birthday just recently at a private venue in Los Angeles. Attempting to blow out the candles on the turntable-shaped birthday cake nearly provided disastrous. Skrillex, real name Sonny Moore, soon found his long hair caught on fire.
TMZ caught video of the situation, where a party guest noticed the DJ's hair caught on fire and immediately alerted him. Skrillex was able to pat out the flames with no real damage done to his hair or hand. After the incident, he merely laughed it off, then enjoyed his cake. See the video here at TMZ.com.
Skrillex, known for countless high-energy tracks, has mixed popular songs by Snoop Dogg, The Black Eyed Peas and Lady Gaga. He's most recently been featured on A$AP Rocky's hip hop song "Wild for the Night," part of the "Long.Live.A$AP" album released this past week, and is credited for the production of the track.
