A-hem! A-hem! The Skirt Chaser 5K comes to Wisconsin on Saturday, September 28. Runners race in two waves, with sports skirt-clad ladies leading the way in Middleton, Wisconsin, followed by the men (aka Chasers).
The festive fitness event, organized by Skirt Sports, begins at 2:30 p.m. at the Capital Brewery and Beer Garden, located at 7734 Terrace Avenue, in Middleton. Advance online registration is available for $35. Race-day registration may be offered, if space permits.
Cash prizes award $500 for the fastest finisher and $250 to the fastest finisher of the winner’s opposing gender in the chip-timed race. In addition, the top 10 runners will receive gift cards for Quaker State and Lube.
Capital Brewery will provide free samples of their Halloween Pumpkinator beer. Each runner also receives two free beers.
Packet pickup is set for Friday, September 27, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Capital Brewery, accompanied by live music from Phat Phunction. Race-day packet pickup is available from 1 p.m. to 2:15 p.m.
“The Chase is on!” reads the 5K run’s slogan.
Numbered bibs sport multiple tear-off messages from which participants may choose: “Single,” “Taken,” or “Depends who’s asking!”
A Skirt Chaser post-race party, fashion show, dance-off, and block party follow the run on Saturday evening.
