Indiana Avenue was abuzz with the sounds of v twins coming and going and the great music of the Harlin Sweetewater band performing at Skip Fordyce Harley-Davidson in Riverside.
This was suppose to be that last bike for the year so a lot and I mean a lot of people showed up the bikes were parked six and seven deep in the lot surrounding the dealership.
So your wondering by what I mean supposed to be the last bike night for 2013? Well, while I was inside one of the staff members mentioned to me about another night might held in October. I ran into Jay Dabney, Dealer Principal for Skip Fordyce and he confirmed that in fact on the third Friday of October that would be October 18th 2013 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m another bike night will take place. Incidentally that is the day before Dogtoberfest.
The bike night held this month as mentioned was well attended. and there plenty to do the vendors were supplying popcorn from Buck's Gourmet Popcorn, sign up for a massage from Elite Body Works. Sign up for runs for the Corset Run, Injured Warrior Appreciation Run and the Rose of Love Bikers Run. Buy A raffle ticket from Abate Local 27 Riverside for a chance to win a Maddog Scooter. Road House Biker Church had their Road Crew on the front lawn and Bikers For Christ were on hand as well.
Over in the side lot Von Hot Rod Pin Striping was busy doing his craft, he was pin striping a helmet when I visited his tent. There was a burn out contest on the back lot.
Inside was just as busy and you could get information on security products offered by Lockstraps and the Bunker park-n-roll companies.
The food was provide by Inland Empire HOG and I saw several of their members working the event.
I ran into some of Zorbas Regulars walking around checking things out including some from Lost Souls SC, Bellvue RC and the Crusaders.
In all everyone had a good time.
