L’Oreal has introduced a skincare line that includes products that leave the skin feeling soft and supple with a moisturizing boost. I’ve had more than a few compliments on my glowing skin since starting use of the L'Oreal Age Perfect Cell Renewal line.
Age Perfect Cell Renewal Golden Serum Treatment: This serum helps repair skin and glides on smoothly leaving a luxurious scent.
Age Perfect Cell Renewal Day/Night Cream: When I was a kid, I used my grandma’s Pond’s Cold Cream, which even as a child, I remember feeling thick and slightly greasy on my face. This night cream from L’Oreal is not your grandma’s night cream. Apply it after the serum treatment for a moisturizing finish. The results leave you with skin so hydrated, it gives your face a natural glow. The cream is thick, but still lightweight and not greasy. It blends and absorbs easily into the skin.
Use these products as part of both your day and night time skincare routine, and don’t forget to apply to the neck!
Other skincare products that are worth attention are derma e’s Hydrating Night Creme and Oil of Olay’s Complete All Day Moisturizer.
derma e Night Creme was introduced to me through Birchbox, a monthly beauty product subscription, and I enjoyed its subtle scent and the hydrating feel my skin had when I applied it to my face. It felt like I had received a spa mini-facial. Its ultra-moisturizing and is helpful for those with dry skin or for use in the drier, winter months.
Oil of Olay is a brand I’ve been using for years. Their daily moisturizer is a classic, fragrance-free product with SPF is perfect for everyday use. Note the difference from the Oil of Olay Active Hydrating Beauty Fluid Original because that product does have a baby powder scent, and a formula not quite right for my skin. The daily moisturizer texture is light, but a lot goes a long way. It doesn’t absorb into the skin quite as well as the L’Oreal or derma e products, but it does leave the skin feeling nourished.
When it comes to skincare, it has to be customized to your skin type, allergies, cost, and general preference. My skin tends to be more on the dry side, but I go through oily phases in the summer. All the products mentioned above do not add oil or shine to my complexion. They still seal in moisture during the day and helps prevent skin damage, rejuvenating my skin.
I have used these products in rotation, but its best to test new products first before switching back and forth between creams and serums. Learn what works best on your skin and what products are formulated to work best together. If you aren’t sure, speak to a dermatologist to discuss any allergies or reactions to beauty products.
