During ski season fly non-stop from Atlanta two times per day on Delta Airlines. The airport is located in Grand Teton National Park, ask nicely for a window seat on your flight into Jackson. It's a view you'll never forget. Adult day lift tickets for skiing run $65-$105. Tickets for seniors and children cost less. Be sure to stay at one of the ski-in/ski-out locations if you are interested in focusing on skiing. If you prefer other winter time activities and don’t mind driving a little there are a ton of outdoor activities for your entertainment.

Try the Granite Hot Springs, natural hot pools of water near Jackson, WY. The pools are 112 degree’s. The Granite Hot Springs Swimming Pool, in the Gros Ventre Mountains south of Jackson, Wyoming. To get to the pool you must go down a ten mile trail. Most people take a snow mobile, or dog sled only the very fit use cross country skis to conquer the ten mile trail. The pool is open year round, except for a few weeks in fall and spring. The concrete pool, built into the mountainside at an altitude of 7,000 feet.

Ride with wapiti
For a rare glimpse of the world from wapiti’s perspective, reserve a seat on the sleigh ride through the National Elk Refuge, the winter feeding ground for the Jackson elk herd. Buy tickets at the Jackson Hole and Greater Yellowstone Visitor Center and then take the shuttle out to the refuge. Be sure to bundle up.
