With only 80 days or so until ski season, what are you doing to prepare for ski season? Here are a couple of tips to get you ready for the coming season.
- Get in shape. Now is the time to get in shape. Whether you have a workout routine or are just thinking about getting a gym membership, now is the time to get ready. Biking and hiking are popular outdoor activities. Crossfit is another craze sweeping skiers and riders.
- Tune your skis/board. If you have not done so already, getting your skis or board ready is a must. Make sure the edges are sharp. Put a coat of "storage wax" on so that all you have to do is scrape and go when the snow flies!
- Research. Research the latest gear and the deals your local resort has to offer. SKI Magazine just came out with their "Buyers Guide" issue. Also, resorts have deadlines where you can save on passes if you buy in advance. Contact your local resort to find out what the deadlines are and what the best deal is for you and your family.
