Being a local has it’s advantages. Sno Mountain has been making outrageous offers to boost skier and boarder turnout, and for many of us, we simply can’t turn it down.
How does a $10 Lift ticket sound? Remarkably cheap? We are certain it is short term with a change of ownership expected. I would definitely look into clearing your calendar if you are a local and have the time to take advantage of 1970s lift ticket prices.
Now at Sno Mountain if you buy a lift ticket any Saturday or Sunday, you can purchase a Monday ticket for $10. In addition to this crazy offer, there are $10 lift tickets all day every Tuesday at Sno Mountain.
If that doesn’t fit your schedule, be sure to visit Liftopia.com for reduced lift tickets at any resort. The site has worldwide reach, so it does not matter if you are skiing Switzerland or New England, or Elk Mountain in PA that rarely runs specials, there is no need to pay full ticket window prices. You do have to plan in advance, however, as same day tickets are not available and there is a limited number of discounted tickets by resort
Ever go to a top notch resort and see all those thermal lunch bags hanging around? That’s because locals know the food you make at home is always trustworthy, healthier and a much better value at fractions of the cost of eating at a resort cafeteria. We never leave home without our lunch bag and drinks.
One other crazy value and worthy car trip includes Pico Mountain just North of Killington. If you are able to spend weekdays, this is an outstanding value at half the cost of other resorts like Killington and Okemo. It is a smaller mountain, but big on steeps and incredibly fun glades and chutes. Tickets are even more discounted if purchased through Liftopia.
Also worth noting is a $19 ladies ticket on Thursdays at Pico! You just can’t beat it with three levels of fireplaces in the lodge and friendly service that seems sorely lacking at many resorts. They are a top choice for value, family skiing, service and expert terrain.
For family skiing, we never met a good ski value we didn’t like!
